This policy covers the Leasehold Ledger iPhone and iPad app, a tool for comparing UK leasehold service-charge documents. It describes the native iOS version under development. Its published App Store privacy answers must be checked against the build actually distributed. The policy does not cover the separate WorksBien website or a destination to which you choose to send a file.
You may enter a property name and address, accounting periods, document types and basis, amounts, categories, reserve-fund movements, page-review decisions, corrections, question notes and managing-agent replies. You may import PDF, image or text documents that include your address, financial amounts, other residents’ details or other personal information. The app copies selected source files into its private local storage, checks them with SHA-256 hashes, and uses PDFKit and Apple’s on-device Vision text recognition to suggest rows for you to review. Suggested figures are not accepted automatically. It keeps local revision and page-review history to support your comparison.
These records and source files remain in the app’s storage on your device during ordinary use. The app has no WorksBien account, developer-hosted document service, built-in analytics, advertising or automatic document synchronization. It does not transmit the contents of your source documents to WorksBien by default. Apple may separately include app data in an iCloud or computer device backup according to your device settings; that is not an in-app sync service operated by WorksBien.
The app allows one free comparison of a two-document pair and offers a one-time Lifetime Pro unlock through Apple’s StoreKit. It keeps the free comparison pair in local app state and a usage record in the device Keychain; it may cache purchase entitlement information in the Keychain to handle temporary offline access. Apple processes purchases, restores, refunds and payment information under Apple’s terms and privacy practices. The app receives the entitlement information it needs for access and does not request your payment-card number or Apple Account password. Apple may make purchase and sales information available to the developer through App Store Connect.
Deleting and reinstalling the app may not remove Keychain records or an Apple purchase history. Reinstalling is not a way to reset the free allowance. A valid purchase can be restored using Apple’s purchase controls.
You can choose to export a factual question letter or a JSON backup using the iOS share sheet. A backup contains the local property records, comparisons, replies and copies of imported source documents. Exported backups are not encrypted by the app. Check the file and recipient, choose a private destination, and avoid sharing another person’s information without authority. A question letter contains the property name and address, selected questions, source references, page-review information and document hashes; review it before sharing. The app does not send these files automatically. A recipient, email service, file provider or cloud storage destination you choose handles its own copy under its own policies.
If you email support, we receive the address and information you choose to send, including any attachment. Please describe the issue without sending service-charge statements, full backups or other people’s details unless necessary and authorized. We use support correspondence to answer your request, troubleshoot and meet applicable business or legal obligations. Contacting support does not give us access to the documents stored on your device.
Local app records remain until you change them, restore a replacement backup, or delete the app and its local data through iOS. A restored backup can bring records back. Delete exported files from the locations where you saved or shared them; deleting the app does not delete someone else’s copy or an Apple device backup. Keychain records and Apple purchase history may persist separately. We cannot remotely delete records that exist only in your app’s local storage or a destination you chose.
The app uses iOS app storage, checks source and backup hashes, and relies on Apple’s purchase verification. A hash checks integrity; it does not encrypt a document or make an exported backup private. Protect your device and any exported files. Support correspondence is retained for as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request and satisfy applicable obligations. Contact us to request access, correction or deletion of personal information we actually hold, subject to applicable law; we may need to verify your request.
Apple processes App Store purchases and optional device backups under its own privacy terms. This policy page is hosted on GitHub Pages, which may process ordinary website requests under GitHub’s privacy policy. The app is intended for people managing leasehold service charges and is not directed to children.
