By downloading or using Promise Guard, you agree to these terms. Mandatory consumer rights in your jurisdiction are not excluded or limited by these terms.

1. What the app does

Promise Guard is a personal record-keeping tool. It lets you enter facts about a provider promise, attach selected supporting items, record later events and outcomes, set reminders, and prepare a factual personal summary for your review and optional sharing.

2. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy, legality and appropriateness of information you enter, attach, export or share. Use factual, non-accusatory wording. Do not use the app to harass, threaten, impersonate, defame, infringe rights, conceal unlawful activity or store material you have no right to possess. Review every report before sending it and select recipients carefully.

3. Free record allowance

You may create two complete records without a paid entitlement. The allowance is based on the lifetime number of successfully created records for the installation and is not replenished by deleting, resolving or archiving a record. Existing records and their record-management features remain usable without a paid entitlement.

4. iOS purchase

On iOS, creating additional records requires a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. The App Store’s localized price and purchase sheet are authoritative. The purchase is associated with the applicable Apple account and may be restored through Apple’s mechanisms where available.

5. Android subscription

On Android, creating additional records requires an auto-renewing monthly subscription. Google Play’s localized price, billing interval, taxes and purchase sheet are authoritative. Unless cancelled before renewal, Google Play renews and charges the subscription under the terms shown at purchase. Cancellation stops future renewal; access ordinarily continues through the paid period, subject to Google Play’s rules. Deleting the app does not by itself cancel a subscription. Promise Guard offers no Android annual plan or free trial.

6. Billing, cancellation and refunds

Apple or Google processes payment, cancellation and refund requests under the applicable store terms and local law. GoodUse Studios does not control store approval of refunds. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

7. No advertising

The current product contains no advertising. A future material change to this model would require updated disclosures and, where required, consent.

8. Availability and changes

We may correct defects, improve compatibility, change features or discontinue future support. Device, operating-system, store, file-format and third-party-service changes can affect availability. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation. Where required, material paid-feature changes will be handled consistently with applicable law and store rules.

9. Ownership

You retain rights in content you create or add. GoodUse Studios and its licensors retain rights in the app, design, software and documentation. These terms grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app subject to store terms and applicable law.

10. Disclaimer and liability

Promise Guard does not verify entries, establish that a promise exists or was breached, provide legal advice, replace professional advice, or guarantee acceptance by any provider, regulator, insurer, tribunal or court. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the app is provided without warranties beyond those that cannot lawfully be excluded. GoodUse Studios is not responsible for decisions made solely from unverified entries, user-selected sharing, loss caused by device failure or deleted local data, or third-party services outside its control. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Governing terms

These terms are governed by the laws applicable to GoodUse Studios in Ontario, Canada, without overriding mandatory consumer protections or jurisdiction rules that apply to you. Store terms may also apply.
