This policy describes the current iOS version of Welding Gas Cylinder Tracker. It is a local-first cylinder recordkeeping app for iPhone and iPad. It does not require a GoodUse Studios account, and GoodUse Studios does not operate a server that receives your cylinder records during normal use.
The free version supports up to two active cylinders. A verified one-time App Store purchase permanently unlocks unlimited active cylinders. The iOS app contains no advertising SDK, advertising-consent service, analytics SDK, attribution SDK, tracking SDK or third-party crash-reporting SDK.
The app can store cylinder names, gas type, capacity, serial number, ownership or rental relationship, supplier details, acquisition and refill or exchange costs, dates, status, notes, activity history, currency and entry preferences, reminder titles and due dates on your device. It also stores the selected app language and, when a wallet contains more active cylinders than the free allowance, the identifiers of up to two active cylinders that remain manageable without the permanent unlock. GoodUse Studios does not receive this information during normal use.
The app does not scan cylinders or use the camera. It does not request microphone, contacts, precise-location, Bluetooth or broad photo-library access. It does not track consumable lots or certificates.
The app does not display third-party advertising and does not contain an advertising or advertising-consent SDK. GoodUse Studios does not use the app to track you across apps or websites, create an advertising profile, sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, or collect app-usage analytics or third-party crash reports.
The iOS privacy manifest declares no tracking domains and no data types collected by the app. It declares app-only access to UserDefaults for preferences. Data that stays on the device is not sent to GoodUse Studios.
The permanent unlock is a non-consumable one-time purchase processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple processes App Store account, billing, payment, tax and refund information under its policies. GoodUse Studios does not receive your full payment-card details.
The app uses StoreKit to obtain the product identifier and storefront-localized price and to verify purchases, restores, refunds and revocations on the device. The verified entitlement may be cached locally to support reliable access. Apple remains authoritative for the App Store transaction and may provide GoodUse Studios with limited sales, proceeds and transaction reports under its terms.
There is no recurring charge for new customers, no renewal period, and no loss of the permanent unlock merely because a future subscription payment cannot be made. A refund, revocation, StoreKit verification failure or other App Store action may affect the purchase entitlement according to Apple’s rules.
You can initiate a wallet backup and choose a file destination. Exported files can contain the cylinder, supplier, cost, activity and reminder information you entered. The selected file destination, cloud provider, email service or other receiving application is a separate service and its own privacy policy applies. The app does not upload backups to a GoodUse Studios server.
On iOS, backup files are JSON documents limited to 5 MB. The app validates the file before replacing the current wallet. A user without the permanent unlock may restore a valid backup containing more than two active cylinders, but must select up to two active cylinders to keep managing; the remaining active cylinders stay visible and read-only unless they are returned, archived or deleted, or the permanent unlock is purchased or restored. A rejected or invalid restore does not replace the current wallet. Backup files do not include StoreKit purchase entitlement.
Apple’s device backup, iCloud backup and device-transfer services may separately copy app data according to your device and account settings. GoodUse Studios does not control those services.
If you enable an alert, the app requests notification permission when required and schedules the reminder locally. Reminder titles and cylinder names may appear on the lock screen. GoodUse Studios does not receive reminder content and does not operate a push-notification server for the app.
When you choose a Privacy, Terms, Support, Data Deletion or Safety link, the app opens the selected HTTPS page in Apple’s in-app browser. Apple, GitHub Pages and their infrastructure providers may receive ordinary connection information, such as an IP address, browser or device information, requested page and access time, under their own policies. The app does not attach your cylinder records to those requests.
If you contact support, GoodUse Studios receives the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message and attachments. Do not send passwords, payment-card details or confidential wallet records unless strictly necessary. Support information is used to respond, maintain security, keep necessary records and meet legal obligations.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, on-device wallet processing is performed to provide the functions you request; purchase information is processed to perform the purchase contract and protect entitlement integrity; support information is processed to respond to you; and limited security, fraud-prevention, accounting and legal-compliance processing may rely on legitimate interests, legal obligations or another basis permitted by law. Apple, GitHub, support providers and user-selected file providers may process information in countries other than the one where you live, subject to their safeguards and policies.
GoodUse Studios intends to make the iOS app available in every App Store country or region that Apple permits it to enable except China mainland. China mainland is excluded unless and until the required local filing is completed and accepted. Actual availability remains subject to App Store support, local requirements and Apple’s decisions. This does not limit any privacy or consumer right that applicable law gives you.
Wallet records remain on your device until you edit or delete them, use the app’s deletion control, or remove them through iOS controls. In the app, use Settings → Delete all data, enter the displayed confirmation word and confirm. This removes cylinders, suppliers, costs, activity, reminders and wallet preferences, cancels their pending local notifications and leaves an empty wallet. It does not reset the selected app language, remove an App Store purchase from your Apple Account, delete separately exported backups, delete Apple transaction records or delete information you voluntarily sent to support. Apple retains App Store information under its policies. GoodUse Studios retains support correspondence and any limited Apple-issued sales, transaction, tax or purchase records it receives only as long as reasonably necessary for support, accounting, tax, fraud prevention, recordkeeping, dispute resolution and legal obligations.
We minimize access by keeping core wallet records local, but no storage or transmission method is completely secure.
Depending on where you live and subject to lawful exceptions, you may have rights to request access to, correction of or deletion of personal information controlled by GoodUse Studios; obtain a portable copy; restrict or object to processing; withdraw consent where processing relies on consent; appeal a denied request where applicable; and complain to your local privacy or data-protection authority. GoodUse Studios will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. We may need to verify your identity or an authorized agent before acting on a request.
Most wallet-content control is exercised directly through the app and your device because GoodUse Studios does not possess that content. Deleting local data cannot delete information held by a store or file provider, and some limited records may need to be retained for legal, tax, accounting, security or dispute-resolution purposes.

Do not send passwords, payment-card details or confidential operational records. Requests concerning Apple, GitHub or another provider must generally be directed to that provider.
The app is intended for adults aged 18 and over and is not directed to children. GoodUse Studios does not knowingly solicit children’s personal information through the app.
We may update this policy when the app, SDKs, services or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
