Remote for Vizio TV Controller — Supplemental Terms of Use

These disclosures supplement the Apple Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which governs the App licence. If these disclosures conflict with Apple’s agreement or applicable law, the controlling agreement and law prevail.
1. Licence and authorized use
Subject to these Terms and Apple’s applicable terms, WorksBien Studios Inc. grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App for lawful purposes on eligible Apple devices associated with the relevant Apple Account.
Use the App only with televisions and networks you are authorized to control. Do not defeat purchase safeguards, interfere with another person’s device or network, or use the App unlawfully, except where an activity cannot legally be restricted.
2. Requirements and compatibility
Real-TV control requires a compatible Vizio SmartCast television, a private IPv4 address and a working local network. Firmware, television model, network isolation, App or input state and power settings can affect commands or availability. Compatibility, discovery, wake or power-on, and uninterrupted operation are not guaranteed. IPv6-only networks and legacy Vizio Internet Apps televisions are not supported. The built-in Demo TV demonstrates the interface but does not prove hardware compatibility.
3. Trial and Full Remote Unlock
The free 1-day Trial is an opt-in, non-consumable App Store product. It begins when its verified purchase completes, provides all remote features for 24 hours, then ends. It does not renew and does not automatically charge. Changing the device clock is not an authorized way to extend access.
The optional Full Remote Unlock is a separate one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase. Its verified entitlement does not expire, although compatibility and App availability can change. The App Store displays the localized price before confirmation. Eligible purchases can be restored for the same Apple Account. Apple handles payment, refunds, taxes and transaction processing. 4. Local-first operation and responsibility
The App has no WorksBien television account or remote-control cloud. You are responsible for the television selected, the network used, authorized access, device security, compatible hardware and a working alternative remote. Commands may be unavailable, delayed, repeated or unsupported because of network, firmware, power or television-app state.
Do not rely on the App for emergency, safety-critical or accessibility-essential control without a working alternative. The App is not a security system, emergency device or guaranteed universal remote.
5. Availability, changes and support
We may provide fixes, compatibility changes or feature changes, and may change or discontinue distribution or support where reasonably necessary. A purchase does not guarantee every future feature, perpetual store availability, indefinite support, or compatibility with every future device, operating system or television firmware. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
Apple’s App Store, StoreKit, TestFlight and related services, and each television manufacturer’s hardware and software, are outside WorksBien Studios’ control.
6. Intellectual property and independent status
The App, design, code, text and associated materials remain owned by WorksBien Studios or its licensors. Vizio and SmartCast are trademarks of their owner and are referenced only to describe compatibility. Remote for Vizio TV Controller is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Vizio, Inc.
7. Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available” without a promise that discovery, pairing, commands, text entry, purchases or availability will always be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, secure or suitable for a particular purpose.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, WorksBien Studios is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, consequential or punitive loss, or for lost data, revenue, opportunity, device access or business interruption arising from use of or inability to use the App. These limits do not exclude a warranty, remedy or responsibility that applicable law does not permit us to exclude or limit.
8. Termination, law and contact
You may stop using and uninstall the App at any time. We may terminate the licence for material breach, subject to applicable law.
These supplemental Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without displacing mandatory consumer protections or mandatory jurisdiction rules that apply where you live.
