Terms of Use

These Terms govern use of PressBench (the “App”), provided by Lateef Razaq-Oyetola carrying on business as GoodUse Studios, Ontario, Canada (“GoodUse Studios,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, accessing or using the App, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Eligibility
PressBench is intended for adults carrying out authorised heat-press production activities. You must be at least 18 or the age of legal majority where you live and legally capable of accepting these Terms.
2. What PressBench does
PressBench helps record and reuse operator-entered heat-press setups, run first-piece checks, track production counts and QC outcomes, and keep local run history and production summaries. It is a workflow and recordkeeping utility only. It does not connect to, inspect, measure, monitor, certify or control a heat press or determine whether any setting, material combination, workplace practice or result is safe or correct.
3. Safety is your responsibility
Heat presses and related materials can cause burns, fire, fumes, electrical injury, equipment damage and other harm. Before every run, follow current machine, material and workplace instructions. You are responsible for training, supervision, equipment condition, electrical safety, ventilation, guarding, compatibility, pressure, temperature, timing and personal protective equipment. An App timer, haptic, sound, saved setup, “Proven” label or prior result is not a safety device or certification. The Heat-Press Safety Notice forms part of these Terms.
4. Saved setups, demonstration data and “Proven” status
A saved setup records operator-entered information. Bundled demonstration values are examples, not recommendations. “Proven” means only that PressBench recorded the number of issue-free operator runs required by its internal rule; it is not independent safety, quality or process validation.
5. Local records and optional iOS backup files
Operational records are stored locally. GoodUse Studios does not provide a PressBench cloud account or remote recovery service. Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled. On iOS, no account or sign-in is required. Create backup and Import backup use Apple’s Files interface with a destination selected by the user. GoodUse Studios does not receive or control backup files. Exported files are not encrypted by PressBench; users are responsible for protecting, managing and deleting copies in Files or with the selected provider. Local deletion, exported backup files and Apple-managed device backups are separate controls.
6. Subscriptions and reports
iOS
Free iOS users receive ten qualifying runs. A run uses one allowance only after it is successfully committed and saved and records at least one processed item or a first-piece attempt. Starting, leaving or discarding a run before save, and a failed save or commit, do not count; a saved run counts even if its recorded quality outcome is unsuccessful. Deleting records or restoring an older backup does not reset recorded usage. PressBench Pro is available to new iOS customers as a monthly auto-renewable App Store subscription. Apple displays the current localized price before purchase in each storefront. While active, the subscription provides unlimited press runs and PDF/XLSX reports. A previously acquired, verified annual entitlement may remain valid until its StoreKit expiration date, but the annual product is not offered for sale to new customers. The iOS App contains no advertising SDK and displays no ads.
Apple’s purchase sheet supplies the authoritative localized price, currency, taxes, billing period and transaction terms before purchase. Payment is charged to the user’s Apple Account at confirmation. The monthly subscription renews automatically each month until canceled. Users can manage or cancel in their Apple Account subscription settings and can use Restore purchase in PressBench. Refunds, revocations or expiry may remove subscription access, but existing records remain readable.
Android
Free Android users receive ten qualifying runs under the same completion-and-save rule used on iOS. Failed, canceled or unsaved runs do not consume the allowance. Android PressBench Pro is a one-month auto-renewable Google Play subscription. While active and verified, Pro provides unlimited press runs and PDF/CSV reports. The Android App contains no advertising SDK and displays no ads. Existing records remain readable after the free limit or subscription expiry. The in-App Delete Local Data action does not reset the separately stored free-run counter. A verified existing annual entitlement may remain valid until it expires, but the annual product is not offered to new customers.
Google Play supplies the authoritative localized price, currency, billing period, taxes, renewal terms and any offer before purchase. Payment is charged through the user’s Google Play account and the subscription renews monthly until canceled. Deleting PressBench does not cancel the subscription. Users can manage or cancel through Google Play subscriptions, and can use Restore purchase in PressBench. Pro may require periodic online verification; a signed recent entitlement-verification record may continue offline only within its original bounded verification window.
Android PDF/CSV and eligible iOS PDF/XLSX reports are generated locally and shared only when the user selects a destination. Subscriptions and Purchases forms part of these Terms.
7. Licence and acceptable use
Subject to applicable store rules, we grant a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use PressBench on supported devices for lawful purposes. You may not misuse the App, interfere with security, distribute unauthorised copies, or violate law or another person’s rights, except where law or an open-source licence permits an activity.
8. Third-party services
Apple, the App Store, iCloud, Google Play, Android, Google Play Billing, GitHub Pages, browsers and email providers are independent services with their own terms and privacy practices.
9. Apple App Store licence terms
For a copy obtained through Apple’s App Store, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement governs the licence to the App in addition to these Terms, unless Apple presents an applicable custom licence. These Terms are between you and GoodUse Studios, not Apple. GoodUse Studios, not Apple, is responsible for the App, support and claims concerning the App, subject to applicable law. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms for the App Store version and may enforce the provisions that benefit them.
10. Updates and availability
We may make security, compatibility, legal or product changes and may discontinue features or the App, subject to applicable law and store rules.
11. Intellectual property
PressBench branding, interface and original software are owned by or licensed to GoodUse Studios. Third-party components remain subject to their licences. You retain your rights in records you create.
12. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PressBench is provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that it is uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular process, material, machine, quality standard, safety requirement, audit, tax, insurance or legal purpose. Mandatory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, GoodUse Studios is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive or consequential loss, or lost profits, production, contracts, opportunity, goodwill or data. For other claims, aggregate liability will not exceed CAD $50, except where prohibited by law.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Ontario law and applicable Canadian federal law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections available where they live. Ontario courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
15. Changes
We may update these Terms for product, legal, safety, security or store changes. The current version and effective date will be posted here.
