Privacy Policy for HVAC Restock

Lateef Razaq-Oyetola carrying on business as GoodUse Studios (“GoodUse Studios,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) publishes HVAC Restock (the “App”). This policy explains what the App processes, what normally stays on the device, and what may leave it.
1. Plain-language summary
- The App works without a GoodUse Studios account or publisher inventory cloud.
- GoodUse Studios does not receive inventory or activity records during ordinary App use.
- The App contains no advertising, behavioural analytics, tracking or third-party crash-reporting SDK.
- Data may leave the device only when the user deliberately imports, exports or shares a CSV file; contacts support; uses TestFlight feedback; or uses Apple backup or device-transfer features.
- Apple separately processes App Store transactions and may process platform diagnostics under Apple’s terms and device settings.
2. Information processed on the device
The App may process item names, part numbers, categories, user-entered locations, on-hand quantities, restock thresholds and targets, creation and update timestamps, last-used timestamps, and an activity history of created, used, stocked, adjusted, imported and reversed events. It also stores whether first-run onboarding was completed. Inventory and activity content is stored in app-private local storage.
The App does not request precise location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, health or advertising-tracking permission. A typed inventory “location” is ordinary text; it is not GPS location data.
Do not enter customer, employee, credential, payment, health, safety-sensitive or other personal information unless the organisation is authorized to process it and has determined that the App is appropriate.
3. Purposes
The App uses local information to display and search stock, reduce or increase quantities, identify low-stock items, calculate a suggested purchase quantity from user-set levels, build a restock list, preserve a reversible activity trail, apply the 10-active-item free limit, and perform user-requested CSV import or export.
4. Storage, Apple backups, import and export
Live records are stored on the device. The App does not provide app-level cloud synchronization. App data may participate in Apple device, Finder, iCloud backup or device transfer according to Apple’s platform behaviour and the user’s settings. GoodUse Studios cannot retrieve, synchronize, remotely wipe or restore records it never received.
CSV import uses Apple’s system file picker. The selected file is parsed on the device. CSV export uses Apple’s share and file interfaces; the user chooses the destination. A recipient, file provider, cloud service, message app or other selected destination controls its own copy under its own terms. Exported CSV files are not separately password-protected by HVAC Restock and contain inventory rows, not a complete backup of App activity history or purchase entitlement.
5. Purchases, diagnostics, beta feedback and support
App Store purchases. Apple processes the lifetime unlock. GoodUse Studios does not receive full payment-card or bank details. Apple may provide transaction, product, storefront, refund, tax, sales and aggregate performance information. StoreKit provides the App with verified entitlement information needed to unlock unlimited active items and restore an eligible purchase.
Platform diagnostics. Apple may provide crash or diagnostic information according to device and developer-console settings. The App does not add a third-party crash-reporting SDK and is not designed to place inventory content in diagnostic messages.
TestFlight. Apple may make tester contact details, feedback, screenshots, device/build information and diagnostics available under TestFlight terms and tester choices. Do not include live inventory or confidential business information in beta feedback.
Support. If someone emails us, we receive the email address and information they choose to send. Send only the App version/build, device and iOS/iPadOS version, a neutral error message and non-sensitive reproduction steps. Do not send inventory exports, screenshots containing stock, credentials or payment information.
Policy website. These pages are hosted through GitHub Pages. GitHub and network providers may process request, IP-address, browser/device, cookie, security and log information under their own notices.
6. Sharing, sale and tracking
GoodUse Studios does not sell local inventory data, use it for cross-app tracking, or share information it never receives. We may disclose information actually in our possession when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or security, investigate misuse, or establish or defend legal claims. Apple, GitHub, email providers, backup providers and user-selected file destinations are independent providers for their services.
7. Retention and deletion
Local inventory and activity records remain until the user changes or deletes them, uses Settings → Delete all app data, uninstalls the App, or the operating system removes storage. The in-App deletion action deletes inventory and activity held by the App on that device after confirmation. Uninstalling removes App-contained data according to Apple platform behaviour.
Deletion does not delete CSV files already exported or shared, copies in device or cloud backups, Apple’s transaction records, or support correspondence. Delete those copies through each destination or provider. A lifetime purchase remains associated with the Apple Account and may be restorable after local App data is deleted.
Support and store records actually received by GoodUse Studios are kept only as reasonably needed for support, security, legal, tax, accounting or dispute purposes.
8. Privacy rights and requests
Use the App’s local controls for records stored only on the device. GoodUse Studios cannot search, access, correct or delete information it never received. For information actually held by GoodUse Studios, email the Privacy Lead at lrodeveloperr@gmail.com to request an applicable right. We may verify identity and authority. Apple, GitHub and selected destinations handle requests for information they control.
To challenge our privacy compliance, email lrodeveloperr@gmail.com with the subject Privacy complaint and explain the concern without attaching operational records. If a concern is not resolved, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or another regulator with lawful jurisdiction may be available.
9. Children, security and international use
HVAC Restock is a business utility and is not directed to children. No storage system is completely secure. Device loss, failure, reset, uninstall, corruption, unauthorized access or an incompatible update can make data unavailable. Users are responsible for device access controls, lawful data entry, appropriate independent records and destination security.
The App may be made available through Apple in multiple countries or regions. Availability does not mean every local use is suitable or lawful. Users are responsible for applicable workplace, privacy, recordkeeping, trade and safety requirements.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the App, law or data practices change. The current version is published at this URL with its effective date. Material changes will receive an appropriate App or store notice where required.
