Terms of Use for HVAC Restock
Effective: 6 September 2026
Applies to: HVAC Restock 1.0 for iPhone and iPad
These Terms are between the person or organisation using HVAC Restock (“you”) and Lateef Razaq-Oyetola carrying on business as GoodUse Studios (“GoodUse Studios,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you use the App for an organisation, you represent that you are authorized to bind that organisation.
1. Licence and Apple terms
Subject to these Terms and Apple’s applicable terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App for lawful internal purposes on eligible Apple devices associated with the relevant Apple Account. Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies where applicable and supplies any mandatory Apple-specific terms.
Do not copy, resell, rent, sublicense, reverse engineer, defeat purchase or item-limit safeguards, interfere with the App or App Store, or use the App unlawfully, except where applicable law expressly permits an activity that cannot be restricted.
2. Inventory records and user responsibility
HVAC Restock is a user-directed stock-recording aid. You control item names, part numbers, categories, locations, quantities, restock levels, imports, exports and device access. You are responsible for authorized and accurate data entry, physical verification, appropriate device security and backups, reviewing suggested purchase quantities before acting, selecting authorized export recipients, and complying with applicable workplace, privacy, recordkeeping, tax, trade, environmental and safety obligations.
A “Used” action reduces the recorded quantity by one when sufficient stock exists. A “Stocked” or adjustment action changes the local recorded quantity. The restock suggestion is arithmetic based on the recorded on-hand quantity and user-set restock target. These actions do not prove a physical event, place an order, contact a supplier or verify stock.
3. Local-first operation, backups and files
The App has no GoodUse Studios inventory account or synchronization service. Records can be lost through device loss, failure, reset, uninstall, corruption, unauthorized access, backup failure or incompatible software. Maintain independent records appropriate to the importance of the inventory.
CSV import is treated as untrusted user input and can add or merge records according to the choices shown in the App. Review the import preview. CSV export contains inventory rows and is not a complete restorable backup of activity or purchase entitlement. You are responsible for recipient authorization, file security and deletion of exported copies.
4. Free limit and lifetime unlock
Without a verified lifetime unlock, the App allows up to 10 active inventory items. The cap applies to item records, not quantities or successful uses. The non-consumable lifetime unlock removes that active-item cap in supported versions. Complete purchase, restore, refund and entitlement terms appear in the Purchase Terms.
5. Availability, changes and support
We may provide fixes, compatibility changes or feature changes, and may change or discontinue distribution or support where reasonably necessary. A purchase does not guarantee every future feature, indefinite store availability, perpetual support, or compatibility with every future device or operating system. Mandatory acquired and consumer rights remain unaffected.
The App is provided through Apple, whose services, review, billing, territory availability and technical operation are outside our control. Internet access may be required for App Store purchase, entitlement refresh, restore, policy pages, support email, TestFlight and Apple services; core local inventory functions are designed to work without a publisher service.
6. Intellectual property and feedback
The App, design, code, text and associated materials remain owned by GoodUse Studios or its licensors. Your inventory content remains yours. If you voluntarily provide non-confidential feedback, you permit us to use it to improve the App without an obligation to compensate you. Do not send confidential inventory content as feedback.
7. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App is provided “as is” and “as available” without promises that records, calculations, exports, availability or operation will always be accurate, complete, uninterrupted, secure or suitable for a particular job. The App is not an engineering, safety, compliance, accounting, purchasing, warehouse-management or emergency system. The Operational and Safety Disclaimer forms part of these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms excludes a statutory warranty, remedy or responsibility that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GoodUse Studios is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, consequential or punitive loss, or for lost profits, revenue, data, inventory, business opportunity or business interruption arising from use of or inability to use the App. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited only to the extent permitted by law. These limits do not apply where prohibited, including to liability that cannot legally be limited.
9. Suspension and termination
You may stop using and uninstall the App at any time. We may terminate the licence for material breach of these Terms, subject to applicable law. Termination does not transfer local data to us and does not itself delete copies already exported or backed up.
10. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada, without displacing mandatory consumer protections or mandatory jurisdiction rules that apply where you live. If a dispute arises, contact us first so we can try to resolve it.
