Privacy Policy for SupplyCheck

Effective: 21 August 2026
Applies to: SupplyCheck 2.0.0 on Android and iPhone/iOS

Lateef Razaq-Oyetola carrying on business as GoodUse Studios (“GoodUse Studios,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) publishes SupplyCheck (the “App”). This policy explains what the App processes, what normally stays on the device, and what may leave it.

1. Plain-language summary

2. Information processed locally

Depending on how the App is used, local information may include workspace and location names or details; supplier names and optional supplier contact details; item names, SKUs or barcode text, units, and minimum levels; physical counts; receipts, use, and loss movements; timestamps; optional notes and correction reasons; archived items or locations; and versioned backup or CSV-export data. Language, appearance, text-size, and accessibility choices are selected through operating-system settings rather than stored as SupplyCheck profile data.

This information may identify people or reveal confidential business operations if the user enters names or sensitive notes. Only enter information the organisation is authorized to use and minimize personal information.

3. Why local information is processed

The App processes local information to display stock by location, distinguish an unknown balance from a counted zero, calculate projected balances, identify low or out-of-stock items, preserve an append-only movement history, create corrections as new physical counts, manage items/locations/suppliers, and create user-requested backups and exports.

4. Storage, backups, and exports

Live records are stored in app-private local storage. SupplyCheck does not provide app-level cloud synchronization.

GoodUse Studios cannot retrieve, synchronize, remotely wipe, or restore records it never received. Protect the device with a passcode, restrict device access, and store exports only in approved destinations.

5. Information GoodUse Studios or platforms may receive

Store transactions. Apple or Google processes the paid download. GoodUse Studios does not receive full card or bank details. Store dashboards may provide transaction, storefront, refund, sales, tax, and aggregate performance information. Depending on the platform and a specific support or refund workflow, the store may also expose a limited order identifier or account/contact field that the store controls.

Platform diagnostics. Apple or Google may provide platform crash or diagnostic information according to device and developer-console settings. SupplyCheck does not intentionally add stock content to diagnostic messages.

Beta and TestFlight feedback. Apple or another authorized testing platform may make tester feedback, screenshots, account/contact details, device/build information, and crash or diagnostic data available to GoodUse Studios under the platform’s testing terms and tester choices. Testers must not include stock records, screenshots of live inventory, exports, backups, or other confidential business data in feedback.

Support and privacy correspondence. If someone emails us, we receive the address and information they choose to send. Please provide only the App version/build, device and operating-system version, selected locale, a neutral error message, and steps that do not contain business records. Do not send inventory exports, backups, customer or employee data, credentials, or payment-card information.

Policy website. These pages are hosted through GitHub Pages. GitHub and network providers may process request, IP-address, browser/device, cookie, security, and log information under their own notices.

6. Sharing and third parties

We do not sell local stock data and cannot share data we do not receive. When a user deliberately exports or shares a file, the selected destination processes its copy under its own terms. Apple, Google, device-backup providers, email providers, and GitHub are independent providers for their respective services.

We may disclose information actually in our possession when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights or security, investigate misuse, or establish or defend legal claims.

7. Retention and deletion

Local operational records remain in app-private storage until changed, the workspace is reset, app data is cleared or the App is uninstalled, or the operating system removes the storage. Archiving hides an item or location from active work but preserves it and its related history. On iPhone, Settings → Backup and restore → Reset to setup deletes the current workspace, items, locations, suppliers, movement history, and recovery/safety files held by the App on that device after confirmation. On Android, use Settings → Reset → Reset workspace. Uninstalling the App removes app-contained local data according to the operating system.

Neither action deletes files already exported or copies held in device/cloud backups. Those copies must be deleted at each destination. Support correspondence and store records are retained only as reasonably needed for support, security, legal, tax, accounting, or dispute purposes.

8. Rights and requests

Use the App’s local tools for records held only on the device. GoodUse Studios cannot search or delete information it never received. For information actually held by GoodUse Studios, email the Privacy Lead at lrodeveloperr@gmail.com to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or another applicable right. We may verify identity and authority. Apple, Google, GitHub, and selected export providers handle requests for information they control.

To challenge our privacy compliance, email lrodeveloperr@gmail.com with the subject Privacy complaint and explain the concern without attaching operational records. The Privacy Lead will investigate and respond within a reasonable period appropriate to the request and applicable law. If the concern is not resolved, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or another regulator with lawful jurisdiction.

9. Children, international use, and security

SupplyCheck is a business utility and is not directed to children. No system is completely secure. Device loss, hardware failure, reset, uninstall, storage corruption, or an incompatible update can make local data unavailable. Users are responsible for appropriate access controls, lawful data entry, backup choices, and destination security.

For support correspondence, store information, or beta feedback that GoodUse Studios actually receives, we limit access to accounts and people who need it, use available platform account-security controls, and delete or de-identify information when it is no longer reasonably needed, subject to legal, tax, accounting, security, and dispute obligations. Email and third-party platforms carry their own security risks, so do not send operational records or other sensitive content.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the App, law, or data practices change. The current version is published at this URL with its effective date. Material changes will be presented through an appropriate app or store notice where required.
